We are seeking a motivated and outgoing individual to join our team as a Canvasser. As a Canvasser, you will be working on the street doing face-to-face fundraising on behalf of our amazing non-profit partner, Amnesty International USA. We work for the critical mission of defending human rights, stopping public health crises, and fighting injustice everywhere.
Responsibilities
- Canvass in teams in designated public areas to fundraise for NGO's
- Engage with people and provide information about our partner's campaign
- Explain the benefits of our offerings and answer any questions or concerns
- Collect contact information from interested individuals for follow-up
- Attend team meetings and provide feedback on community responses
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions
- Hours: Weekdays 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Qualifications
- You do not need experience in canvassing or fundraising
- You must be comfortable canvassing and fundraising on the street
- Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills
- Ability to work independently and meet targets
- Must be self-motivated, energetic, and have a positive attitude
- Strong English communication skills
- A good work ethic, and a passion for human rights
- Bilingual is a plus
Pay and Benefits
- Base Pay: $21.29
- Paid Training
- Full-time canvassers who meet our weekly standard earn $30 per hour after bonuses
- Staff can also earn up to a base of $30 per hour with promotions through our leadership program
- Medical, dental, vision, and 401-K retirement plan after 90 days of employment
- Paid time off for sick, vacation, and personal leave and paid Holidays (after 20 shifts)
- Bonus System: You can earn anywhere between $25 - $450 + in our bonus system per week, and this is uncapped for those who go above and beyond
- $450 referral bonus for canvassers
- Opportunities for rapid advancement to Field Manager, Field Director, Canvass Director with industry leading training and pay at each position
